This mini-lecture is adapted from a longer lecture on Design Patterns which is given as part of the module EBU5304 Software Engineering at BUPT. Software Engineering covers a variety of topics to do with the production of large scale software systems. This is the second of two lectures in this module which are on coding aspects of software engineering. The aim of these two lectures is to show students principles and techniques in coding which become important when coding large scale software systems. The principles and techniques are illustrated using the Java programming language.
